BAKERSFIELD, CA. – Alternative Divorce Solutions, a Southern California divorce mediation firm changing the way people experience divorce, is opening its fourth office on the heels of its 10th anniversary. The new Bakersfield location is spearheaded by attorney and new partner Garrett Rice, a local of the area, and offers affordable, accessible mediation services as an alternative to traditional antagonist courtroom proceedings.

Over the past decade of award-winning work, Alternative Divorce Solutions has become a leader in the divorce industry changing how people experience the process, aiming to alleviate stress and tension to help reach the most beneficial outcome for everyone involved. Prior to joining the Alternative Divorce Solutions team, the Bakersfield native served as Deputy District Attorney in Kern County where he prosecuted criminal cases with a specialization on child fatality and family law. Rice graduated with his Juris Doctorate in the top 10 percent of his class from Whittier Law School in 2011 and completed his certification in divorce mediation from Alternative Divorce Solutions Institute in 2020. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and committed to serving families with compassion.
