NEW ORLEANS, LA—McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Member (partner) Camille Bryant has been honored with the Brandes S.G. Ash/Toya Carmichael Leadership Award from the National Bar Association. The award is in recognition of Bryant’s excellent leadership as 2020-2021 president of the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society.

In addition to the society’s traditional work, Bryant has led its charge this year in tackling three unprecedented pandemics that plague the community: COVID-19, police brutality, and election protection. In pursuit of this goal, Bryant and her colleagues are advocating for reforms that will ensure a fairer and more equitable criminal justice system, as well as preparing to launch a network of legal clinics that provide individuals in low-income neighborhoods with access to legal representation. Under Bryant’s leadership, the society also hosted a week-long virtual seminar for law students from all four Louisiana law schools, and partnered with the Louisiana State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association to expand opportunities for underrepresented attorneys.
