CLEVELAND, OH—David M. Lenz is Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell’s new Managing Partner, succeeding James D. Vail, who served as Managing Partner for 23 years. The change comes as part of the firm’s strategic efforts to build on the long history of the firm and sustain that success with its next generation of attorneys and clients. With the start of the new decade, Jim Vail felt that timing was perfect for this transition and the succession took effect on January 1, 2020.
David Lenz joined the firm in 2006 and became a Partner in 2013. His practice focuses on Trust and Estate planning and administering wealth transfer for individuals and families. Lenz is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law.
Mr. Vail will continue to be an active partner, where the primary focus of his legal practice remains Business Law, Commercial Litigation, and Real Estate Law.
