BOSTON, MA—Boston law firm Davis Malm announces that Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) published the fourth edition of “Massachusetts Condominium Law,” edited by shareholder Samuel “Sandy” B. Moskowitz, who along with associates Courtney A. Simmons and Taylor P. Lovejoy co-authored several chapters in the book. This continues the firm’s 30-year role in leading the publication of this guide. The manual is a comprehensive survey of condominium law in Massachusetts and a resource full of practice-tested insights and recommendations on a wide range of condominium-related issues. Topics cover condominium document drafting, community association operation and governance, condominium assessments and collections, unit sales, and the formation and operation of cooperatives and commercial and mixed-use condominiums.
This team effort continues Malm’s decades-long role as a leading authority in condominium law. Moskowitz began serving as editor in 2017, after the retirement of Davis Malm colleague Robert J. Galvin, who was the guide’s editor since it first published in 1988. The new edition is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Galvin, who died in 2020.
Moskowitz is a real estate attorney focusing on condominium law, title issues, real estate litigation and development. He routinely represents condominium developers and associations throughout Massachusetts, and over his 40-year legal career has been recognized for his expertise in both residential and commercial condominium development, operation and financing. Ms. Simmons is a litigator, representing clients in commercial litigation and real estate disputes. Mr. Lovejoy is also a litigation attorney, advising clients on a broad range of litigation, business, real estate and employment-related matters.
