The 24th Annual Elder & Special Needs Law Symposium offers insight from respected elder-and special-needs-law practitioners and aging-service professionals from North Carolina and across the country.
This year’s program includes a diverse array of topics for all attorneys practicing in this ever-evolving area of the law.
Attendees can expect to:
- Gain insight into alternative funding streams for long-term care (beyond the traditional Medicaid benefits) and aging services
- Explore guardianship-related issues in North Carolina, including proposed revisions to Chapter 35A aimed at lessening the use of guardianships and their potentially damaging consequences
- Discover ways to advise clients on remaining in their homes and aging in place longer
- Protect clients from the growing sophistication of scammers and those who take advantage of vulnerable adults
