Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce that it will host a Tax Forum at the Crowne Plaza at Ravinia on Thursday, June 23 from 7:20 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The theme of this year’s forum is, “How to Be a Marquis Trustee: Fiduciary Duties, Liabilities, and Tax Savings Opportunities.” The event is open to the public, and ideal for accountants, business leaders responsible for financial operations, financial planners and lawyers who guide clients in tax matters.
Attendees will gain valuable knowledge from members of Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s nationally recognized estate planning practice. This presentation will incorporate lessons learned from decades of experience in trust and estate planning in order to provide the sophisticated advisor with a crash course in the A-B-C’s of being a Marquis Trustee – best in class. We will also address issues to consider when accepting or resigning from trusteeship; the duties, obligations, and risks of serving as a Trustee; and how to go above and beyond those duties to provide value to your friends, family, or clients.
The panel will be moderated by Atlanta-based Shareholder J. Scot Kirkpatrick and panelists will include Shareholder Steven M. Wyatt, Senior Counsel Stephen C. Heymann and Associate Jasmin Severino.
Registration is $50. 2.0 hours of CPE credit for CPA’s recommended to State Board for attendance at this Forum.
1.5 hours of CLE credit has been approved for attorneys. No prerequisites for this Tax Forum are required.
