The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona is celebrating its 60th anniversary this Saturday, November 2, at the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix. “In This Together: A Benefit for the ACLU Foundation of Arizona,” will feature Jose Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated filmmaker, and leading voice for the human rights of immigrants, as the event keynote speaker. The gala will honor law firm Perkins Coie, local activist and artist Cat Castañeda, and longtime civil rights advocate and ACLU of Arizona co-founder Alice Bendheim for their contributions to the civil rights organization.
