JACKSONVILLE, FL—Jimerson Birr has hired accomplished trial lawyer Samuel B. Friedman to join the firm. His practice will focus on all aspects of business litigation.
Mr. Friedman formerly served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville where he was hand-picked for State Attorney Melissa Nelson’s first incoming class. While in the State Attorney’s office, Mr. Friedman handled a wide range of cases, from small third-degree felonies, to first-degree felonies that are punishable by life. He handled a large case load and tried over a dozen cases to jury verdict, including playing a vital role in the prosecution in the case of State of Florida v. Michael Haim, murder trial that received national recognition.
