Freeborn & Peters Recipients of Diversity Scholarship Award

RICHMOND, VA—Freeborn & Peters LLP announces the recipients of the firm’s inaugural Diversity Scholarship Award, a program designed to continue the firm’s commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive working environment and strengthen diversity and inclusion in the practice of law.

As a result of their outstanding accomplishments, Freeborn has named law students Ivanovich Almonte and Jamel Gross-Cassel the recipients of this year’s scholarship. Ivan and Jamel will be awarded $5,000 to be used towards law school tuition or other school-related expenses.

Ivanovich Almonte is currently a legal student at St. John’s University School of Law in New York, and Jamel Gross-Cassel is attending Fordham University School of Law in New York. Both applicants showed incredible academic merit, commitment to the pursuit of diversity and inclusion in the legal field, and excellent leadership qualities and community involvement.
