Hedrick Gardner Welcomes Six Associates

RALEIGH—Hedrick Gardner is pleased to announce its largest group of new hires in many years with the recent addition of six associates. ”We are fortunate to have these talented individuals join our firm,” said Hedrick Gardner managing partner Paul Lawrence. “They bring a diverse skill set that will be a great asset to our clients.”

Katherine Escalante practices on the firm’s civil litigation team in Charlotte. She graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law where she served as notes and comments editor of the Journal of Business & Intellectual Property Law. She attended school in three countries and is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational French.

Christian Ferlan joined the firm’s workers’ compensation team in Charlotte following his graduation from the UNC School of Law where he served as Notes Editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology. A college baseball player, he is proud to be the first member of his family to pursue and attain a postgraduate degree.

Farrah Raja practices with the firm’s workers’ compensation team in Charlotte. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law where she was honored for completing 110.5 hours of pro bono work. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and has familiarity with Spanish and Arabic.

Aviance Brown joins the Raleigh office as the newest attorney of its civil practice. Aviance graduated in the top 25% of her class from the North Carolina Central University School of Law where she served as the student bar association president.

Nick Inchaustegui practices civil litigation in Wilmington where he focuses on general liability matters. Nick graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, he served as a legal intern in a variety of capacities including for the Honorable Justice Paul Newby at the Supreme Court of North Carolina and the Richmond City Attorney’s office.

Kenan Drum practices workers’ compensation in Wilmington. Kenan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, he served as a law clerk to a US senator, a role that provided him with some exciting experience including attending senate judiciary hearings, briefing the Senator on updates, researching new and pending legislation, and helping draft legislation.
