JACKSONVILLE, FL—Jimerson Birr has hired Austin T. Hamilton to add to the firm’s business litigation and construction practice groups. He focuses on all aspects of business and construction litigation in both state and federal court.

“Austin brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the firm, which extends the dynamic levels of support we offer our clients,” remarked Managing Partner Charles B. Jimerson. “His contributions in business litigation and appellate law will be particularly valuable, and we look forward to the firm’s continued success in these areas.”

Mr. Hamilton is an experienced trial attorney who has tried both jury trials and bench trials in state and federal court. Recently, he was the lead plaintiff’s attorney in an eight day federal jury trial involving an insurance coverage dispute resulting in a $1.89 million judgment for his client. He has represented many businesses in the construction sector, with substantial general contractor and subcontractor jury trial experience, resulting in high dollar figure judgments for his clients.

Prior to joining Jimerson Birr, he was with Heekin Litigation Group, where his practice focused on business litigation. Mr. Hamilton received his Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University.
