CLEVELAND,OH—Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that John Gerak, former managing shareholder of the firm’s Cleveland office, has been elected to the position of Managing Director.
Bruce Hearey, one of the founding shareholders of the Cleveland office, replaces Gerak as office managing shareholder in Cleveland.
Gerak succeeds Chuck Baldwin, who served as Managing Director of Ogletree Deakins from 2016-2020. Gerak will serve alongside Joseph L. Beachboard as co-Managing Director. In this role, he will be a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, and with Beachboard and Managing Shareholder C. Matthew Keen make up the Executive Committee of the Board, responsible for the strategic direction and daily affairs of the firm.
