Commander, attorneys in the firm’s Birmingham office, have taken on new leadership roles with the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA). Effective Jan. 1, 2019, Mr. Harwood joins PARCA’s board of directors, and Ms. Commander joins the PARCA Roundtable.

Mr. Harwood is a partner in Bradley’s Healthcare Practice Group. He focuses his practice on general and nonprofit corporate transactions and healthcare regulatory issues. Mr. Harwood represents a wide range of healthcare clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and physician alignment strategies, corporate reorganizations, private securities offerings, corporate governance, employment and independent contractor relationships, and general corporate matters.
An associate in Bradley’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group, Ms. Commander advises public and private companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, business entity formation, private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations, financing transactions, and securities offerings.

A non-partisan, nonprofit group, PARCA promotes best practices and evidence-based decision making in Alabama’s governments, schools, and nonprofits. The PARCA Roundtable provides young civic and business leaders the opportunity to study issues and government policy in Alabama in conjunction with the research conducted PARCA. The group meets with public officials and other leaders to learn about and discuss issues currently affecting the state and local governments. The Roundtable exists to increase the involvement of its members in seeking solutions to the state’s problems.
