LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) will install its 2020-21 President Tamila “Tamie” C. Rietveld, Ibiere N. Seck, and Shahrokh Sheik. Incoming Barristers/Young Attorneys President Sharon G. Gelbart and new Barristers/Young Attorneys Officers will also be sworn in during the evening’s ceremony.
“It’s such an exciting time to be a LACBA member. I am proud of the way the organization and current President Ronald F. Brot responded to an unexpected pandemic. Ron’s work to grow LACBA’s membership over the past year has been unprecedented. He spearheaded the addition of the Privacy and Cybersecurity, and Cannabis Sections, as well as the Lawyer Well-Being Project, which assists lawyers facing alcohol abuse, substance abuse, or mental and emotional issues,” said Ms. Jensen, founder of the Law Offices of Tamila C. Jensen. “There is always work to be done running one of the largest voluntary associations in the nation, and I look forward to the challenges and opportunities,” she added.
