On April 6, members of the legal community came together for Jacksonville Legal CommUNITY Day at Feeding Northeast Florida for a day of unity and community service.
Lawyers gave back by inspecting and sorting 5,369 pounds of food for donation, representing 4,474 meals for families in need.
Feeding Northeast Florida works to ensure that these children and families, seniors and veterans have the food and hope that they need so they can focus on building a foundation for a stronger tomorrow. Feeding Northeast Florida distributes food directly to families through mobile pantries as well as supplying other non-profits, including the Sulzbacher Center and City Rescue Mission, with food.
Volunteers received lunch and a t-shirt funded by a diversity grant from The Florida Bar. This event was organized in partnership between the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association, D.W. Perkins Bar Association, and Jacksonville Bar Association.
