MIAMI, FL—Aronfeld Trial Lawyers filed a lawsuit against SharkNinja Management LLC, on behalf of its client who suffered serious injuries to her foot, toes and tendons after her Ninja Master blender malfunctioned.
The Complaint was filed on behalf of Ms. Rachel Lorenzo, a resident of Miami, on August 3, 2022, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. The lawsuit demands judgement against the Defendant, SharkNinja Management LLC, for compensatory damages and demand a trial by jury.
On November 3, 2019, Ms. Lorenzo was operating the Ninja Master blender model QB900B, when it suddenly and unexpectedly ejected its blade, slicing through her right foot, toes, and tendons.
As a result, she suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, and rehabilitative expenses. These losses are permanent and continuing in nature.
The lawsuit alleges that the subject blender was defective and unreasonably dangerous by virtue of its condition and the failure to warn of known and foreseeable risks. Specifically, the discharge of its sharp and dangerous blade suddenly and unexpectedly in the course of foreseeable use, and to that extent the subject blender had no support to hold the blade.
SharkNinja Management LLC, the company behind the wildly popular Ninja Blender System is facing a number of personal injury lawsuits, after numerous people suffered cuts. SharkNinja has previously been sued in district and circuit courts throughout the nation for similar malfunctions.
