PITTSBURGH, PA—The Pond Lehocky Giordano’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) committee is committed to making meaningful impact for our employees, clients, and community in 2021. The committee has partners with Friends of Rittenhouse for a day of service cleaning the park on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 18.
“For our first project in 2021, the DEI committee will be volunteering to clean-up Rittenhouse Park on MLK Day. As a civil rights leader with a legacy of promoting civil rights and equality, MLK embodies both the principles of our committee and the values of our law firm. We look forward to doing our part, to give back to the Philadelphia community, during a day of service,” Melissa R. Chandy, Partner and Committee Chair said.
The creation of the DEI committee is Pond Lehocky’s declaration to continue to grow, learn, listen, and improve. The committee is an employee resource group committed to creating strategic, sustainable, and authentic DEI initiatives that support Pond Lehocky employees, clients, and community.
DEI was formed under the leadership of founding partner Thomas J. Giordano, Jr. and chaired by partner Melissa R. Chandy. The DEI committee is comprised of attorneys, members of the firm’s executive team, and staff members of all different backgrounds.
