BOSTON, MA—Richard L. Sampson, a shareholder at the Boston law firm of Davis Malm, participated in the 57th annual Head of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) in Boston. Mr. Sampson’s team, representing the Cambridge Boat Club, the host organization of the HOCR, placed first in the Men’s Grand Master Fours (60+) category. The team won with a time of 18:08.033. This year’s event marks the return of the in-person annual race after a virtual competition took place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Sampson has a long history competing at the HOCR and has volunteered with the race organization since 1999 in capacities ranging from race operations co-chair to a member of the Board of Directors and as a managing director. He currently serves as the HOCR’s Corporate Counsel.
