PHOENIX, AZ—Jones, Skelton & Hochuli is pleased to announce that Robert Berk has been elected into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). JSH boasts ten members of ABOTA, the most members from any one law firm in the entire state of Arizona. He joins colleagues Stephen Bullington, James Curran, William Holm, John Masterson, Donald Myles, Russell Skelton, Phillip Stanfield, Georgia Staton and Mark Zukowski, plus founding partners William R. Jones, Jr. and Edward Hochuli.
ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism. The purpose of ABOTA is to elevate the standards of integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession.
Berk joined Jones, Skelton & Hochuli in 1989 and focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and contract litigation, and professional liability defense and insurance coverage litigation. During his 30-plus-year career, Berk has litigated almost every type of commercial dispute, from basic collection actions to complex corporate matters. He has tried several commercial cases, including breach of contract, replevin contract, commercial defamation, real property, landlord-tenant and construction cases.
