NEW YORK, NY—Professor Robert Jackson Jr., who has been on public service leave at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since January 2018, will return to NYU Law this semester. He will teach a course on investment banking starting in February.
Jackson joined the NYU Law faculty in September 2017, coming from Columbia Law School, where he taught courses on corporations, investment banking, and leadership for lawyers. He was in residence at NYU Law during the 2016-17 academic year. In addition to a distinguished career in public service, Jackson has a record of outstanding teaching and institutional leadership. His academic work has focused on corporate governance and the use of advanced data science techniques to improve transparency in securities markets.
