“It is with great excitement that I announce the opening of my new law firm and the expansion of my mediation practice,” said firm founder, Sarah Clasby Engel. “The Engel Firm will provide clients with the experience of a larger firm and the personalized attention of a smaller firm, at an affordable cost. We guarantee the highest quality legal representation, as well as personalized attention and value from our legal services. We put our heart into what we do and have earned a reputation for the personalized attention and results we have obtained for our clients.”

The Engel Firm’s core practice will focus on Mediation and Litigation. It is located in Coconut Grove, Florida in the Grand Bay Plaza.

Sarah Clasby Engel brings more than two decades of legal experience to her clients in the practice areas of mediation, commercial litigation and attorney’s fee expert witness services. The new office location is in the heart of Coconut Grove, minutes from Miami International Airport, the City of Coral Gables, and the Downtown Brickell Financial Center.

Prior to starting The Engel Firm in 2018, Sarah Clasby Engel was a founding Partner at Harke Clasby & Bushman LLP and focused her practice on complex commercial litigation, multistate consumer class action litigation, products liability, employment matters and insurance litigation.

Since 2007, Ms. Engel has served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil mediator and has helped hundreds of parties reach an amicable settlement in both federal and state court matters.

Ms. Engel is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Ms. Engel has served as Co-Lead Counsel in eight of the largest settlements obtained on behalf of borrowers against banks over their forced-placed insurance practices. These actions have led to regulatory and structural changes in the forced-placed insurance industry nationwide. Over the last several years, Ms. Engel has served in leadership positions and helped obtain over $225 million for consumers in both mass tort and class action litigation.
