Charan Sandhu Named Minority Female Lawyer of the Year

Weil Technology & IP Transactions partner Charan Sandhu was named Minority Female Lawyer of the Year at the Chambers USA 2018 Women in Law Awards. The awards were held at The Yale Club of New York City on June 21, 2018.

Ms. Sandhu was honored for her role as a prominent mentor and leader of Weil’s diversity programs. As a member of Weil’s Diversity Committee and Co-Head of the Asian [email protected] (AAW) affinity group, she has strived to ensure that female attorneys, especially minority women, thrive at Weil. In addition, she is an outspoken advocate for diversity across the legal community. She is currently a Fellow at the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization comprised of general counsel of major corporations and top private practitioners dedicated to advancing diverse talent to the highest echelons of the legal profession. She is also a leading member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America, and has recently been helping to guide the association’s growth in advance of its annual convention.

The Chambers USA Women in Law Awards recognize those pioneers who have furthered the advancement of women within the legal sphere. They seek to recognize these achievements, empower the people behind innovative women’s initiatives and give greater visibility to gender diversity.
