ORLANDO, FL – Dean Mead is proud to announce Michael Dawkins and Alexander Van Heyde have been elected shareholders in the firm’s Orlando office.
Dawkins focuses his practice on all aspects of the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of real estate with a specific emphasis on complex commercial leasing. He negotiates retail, office and industrial leases on behalf of both tenants and landlords on national and local levels, including retailers, medical office developers and industrial developers and tenants. Dawkins also represents national homebuilders in all phases of residential projects; including contract negotiation; due diligence; and joint development ventures. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Florida.
Van Heyde focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, land development and financing. He has extensive experience representing owners and developers in the acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate, including mixed-use, industrial and multi-tenant retail projects. Van Heyde also frequently represents lenders and borrowers in negotiating, structuring and documenting real estate acquisition, development and construction financing, as well as working capital and general corporate loans. Van Heyde is admitted to practice in Florida and holds a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
