NATIONAL-Walter “Fritz” Mondale, the 42nd Vice President of the United States, passed away on April 19, 2021. A retired Partner at Dorsey & Whitney, in his life Mr. Mondale was also an Army veteran, a Minnesota Attorney General, a U.S. Senator and a U.S. Ambassador. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1956. He was the Democratic Nominee for President of the U.S. in 1984, selecting New York Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate. Ms. Ferraro was the first woman to be a major-party national nominee.
