MIAMI—AXS Law Group co-founder and Franchise law attorney Morgan Ben-David has been named to the Board of Directors of the Arts & Business Council of Miami, which through advancing high-impact partnerships between business, entrepreneurs and the arts provides meaningful engagement opportunities to inspire employees, stimulate innovation and foster creativity.
Morgan’s practice focuses on franchise law, distribution, hospitality, and emerging businesses. She has significant experience advising franchisor clients on franchise sales and disclosure compliance issues, drafting and preparing franchise disclosure documents, and franchise agreements. Morgan also regularly advises and counsels franchisees on the purchase of franchises. She currently serves as outside legal counsel for a number of franchisor and small business clients, including companies in the food service, dry cleaning, and health and fitness industries. Morgan also handles a variety of general business transactions and has represented clients in purchase and sale, licensing, and endorsement and promotional agreements.
Active in the professional community, Morgan serves as a member of the ABA Forum on Franchising, the ABA Young Lawyers Division and the Dade County Bar Association. Her research has been published and presented in numerous forums, including the International Franchise Association Legal Symposium, the Nova Law Review, the ABA Franchise Law Journal and the ABA Annual Forum on Franchising.
Morgan has represented clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings throughout the U.S. She is admitted in Florida, the Southern District Court of Florida and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. She received a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, magna cum laude, and a B.S. from the University of Florida, magna cum laude.
