NEWARK, NJ—McCarter & English has broken into the list of top ten lawyer-lobbying firms in New Jersey. For 2020, McCarter was ranked the number eight lawyer-lobbying firm, according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC). The firm also ranked 24 in the state among all lobbying firms.
The doubling of lobbying revenue for the practice can be attributed to a growing recognition by major business entities inside and outside of New Jersey and the strategic advice and counsel that chair Guillermo Artiles (pictured) and the growing Government Affairs team offer to clients.
Most recently, McCarter’s Government Affairs group welcomed Partner Bill Palatucci this past September, who is widely known throughout the state for his strong Republican ties at both the state and federal level. This past fall Senior Advisor Brian McGlinchey, and Government Affairs and Public Interest Liaisons Stephanie Lezcano and Alexandra Viqueira also joined Guillermo and Omar Bareentto as part of the core team. The expanded team represents clients in the healthcare, cannabis, and technology sectors, among many others. Notably, many of our members have played significant roles in government and various public sector initiatives.
