ALBUQUERQUE, NM—Nationwide insurance and civil litigation defense firm Tyson & Mendes LLP announced today the launch of its first office in New Mexico, as well as the appointment of experienced insurance defense attorney Amy Headrick as New Mexico Managing Partner. The addition of a New Mexico office marks Tyson & Mendes’ 18th location across the country.
Headrick joins Tyson & Mendes with more than 20 years of experience as an attorney, the last seven as an attorney with Butt Thornton & Baehr PC in Albuquerque. She specializes her practice in bad faith litigation, complex civil litigation, insurance coverage, medical liability, and general insurance defense. In addition to her litigation work, Headrick served as an attorney editor at Thomson Reuters for more than a decade. She is admitted to practice law in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals as well as New Mexico’s state and federal district courts.
Headrick is a board member of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers’ Association and is a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM). She received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law, where she joined the Appellate Law Clinic and the Maritime Law Journal and graduated magna cum laude. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan.
