Devin Honbarger Joins Cranfill Sumner Raleigh Office

RALEIGH, NC—Cranfill Sumner LLP today announced the addition of three new attorneys to its staff. Maria Aguilera, Devin Honbarger, and Kelley Petcavich have joined the firm as associate attorneys.

Maria Aguilera is a civil litigation associate attorney based in the Charlotte office. She graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law where she served as the President of the Latinx Law Student Association, founded the law school’s first Latinx scholarship for incoming students, and spearheaded the law school’s first student-led Diversity Equity and Inclusion advisory committee to the Dean. She received her bachelor’s degree from Samford University.

Devin Honbarger is a civil litigation associate attorney based in the Raleigh office. He graduated with honors from Campbell University School of Law and previously worked as a summer associate and intern at the firm. While at Campbell, he participated in the Old Kivett Moot Court Competition, the Innovate Capital Business Law Clinic, trial advocacy, and the Veterans’ Pro Bono Project. He interned with Verizon, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and a small plaintiff’s firm.

Kelley M. Petcavich is an associate attorney based in the firm’s Raleigh office who focuses her practice on medical malpractice, professional liability, and general civil litigation matters. While in law school, she served as Executive Forum Editor of Volume 100 of the North Carolina Law Review, clerked for Senior Resident Superior Court Judge D. Thomas Lambeth, Jr., and served as an extern with the General Counsel of UNC Health Care. She previously served as an Office Services Assistant and paralegal at Cranfill Sumner. She received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, her bachelor’s degree from Meredith College, and her paralegal certificate from Duke University.
