DALLAS, TX—Anand Gandhi has joined international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a Dallas-based associate in the Firm’s Corporate Department, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A)-related transactions.
Before joining Weil, Anand most recently served as senior counsel at Acorns, a financial technology company that helps consumers save and invest for the long-term. In this capacity, he advised on strategic M&A, financing transactions, corporate governance and employee equity matters. Prior to Acorns, Anand served as in-house counsel at a leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) company after several years at other international law firms.
During his career, Anand has been dedicated to numerous diversity and inclusion initiatives, including previously serving as global chair of the Asian Lawyers Group at another international law firm and also as a member of the leadership team of the African American Employee Resource Group at a CPG company.
Anand earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, receiving Order of the Coif recognition. While in law school, he served on the staff of the Southern California Law Review. Anand completed his M.A. at the University of Chicago and his B.A., summa cum laude, at the University of California, Los Angeles.
