Perkins Coie Welcomes Attorney Belinda E. Nixon

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Belinda E. Nixon has joined the firm’s Technology Transactions & Privacy Law practice and Communications industry group as a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

Belinda joins Perkins Coie from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) where she served as the deputy division chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s Competition and Infrastructure Policy Division which develops and implements competition and infrastructure policies to support the deployment of commercial wireless networks and services.

As a senior FCC attorney, Belinda provided strategic counsel and guidance on wireless telecommunications infrastructure policy to FCC commissioners and agency leaders. She also oversaw and worked on FCC reviews of media mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and enforcement proceedings, and infrastructure deployment policies with respect to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements.
