Lane Powell is pleased to welcome Joe Woods as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. He will serve as an integral part of the management team, developing and implementing the firm’s strategic plan and growth strategy while driving business operations. Woods plays a critical role in furthering Lane Powell’s longstanding commitment to excellence and positioning the firm for continued success in the industry.

Prior to joining Lane Powell, Woods held leadership positions with several Am Law 50 firms, most recently as Senior Practice Group Business Manager at Perkins Coie LLP. Using a data-centric and entrepreneurial approach, he has a passion for streamlining processes and promoting value-alignment across functions.

Woods was recently selected to the 2018 1,000 Leaders and Influencers in Legal Business list by the Association of International Law Firm Networks (AILFN) and championed the creation of a patent workload management tool named 2017 winner of the Financial Times North America Innovative Lawyers Award for innovation in the business of law: technology.

Woods received his M.B.A. in Strategic Management from Temple University and his B.B.A. in Finance from the George Washington University.
