DALLAS, TX—The seventh annual Dodge for a Cause dodgeball tournament, organized by international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, was held June 27, 2019, and raised $105,000 to benefit Vogel Alcove. This year’s successful fundraising effort brings the cumulative total raised to over $450,000 since the event’s creation.

The beneficiary, Vogel Alcove, is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free therapeutic services to the more than 3,000 homeless children in Dallas. Weil has been a long-time Vogel Alcove supporter, including several Firm partners who have served as co-chairs of the organization’s annual Arts Performance Event and/or on its board of directors.

The round-robin dodgeball competition, featuring more than 30 of Dallas’ most prominent companies, was held on the floor of the American Airlines Center with the team from driversselect emerging as the champion.
