He joined the U.S. Marines immediately after graduating high school and served in the reserves during college. He was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was critically injured when his Humvee rolled over while he was manning the turret machine gun. He was left with a permanent disability and medically retired from the Marines due to his injuries.

He opened The Rollins Law Firm immediately after graduating from law school. His firm has focused on bankruptcy and giving clients a fresh start from the very beginning. Through the years, he has handled both simple and complex cases. He has filed, defended, and won bankruptcy lawsuits. His bankruptcy practice is about helping everyday consumers get their lives back on track. He is the State Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mississippi. His wife is a critical care nurse at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and they belong to Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.
