Meet Alan Harrison
Alan R. Harrison is the founder and guiding force behind Alan R. Harrison Law, where he leads with a focus on compassion, clarity, and thoughtful legal planning. Since establishing the firm in 2007, he has built a practice dedicated to helping Idaho families navigate important life transitions with confidence and peace of mind. He works closely with his team to ensure every client receives personalized attention and practical, meaningful guidance.
Alan’s legal career began in the Ada County District Court, where he served as a clerk for Judge Darla Williamson. He later spent more than three years with the Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office, handling misdemeanor prosecutions as well as guardianship and protection order matters. This early courtroom experience gave him a strong foundation in both litigation and family-focused legal issues, shaping his client-centered approach today.
In addition to his legal background, Alan brings a problem-solving mindset shaped by his education in civil engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho. He is licensed to practice law in Idaho and is also a certified mediator, which further strengthens his ability to help clients resolve matters efficiently and with a solutions-oriented perspective.
Alan is known for his steady presence, careful listening, and practical approach to complex situations. His leadership has helped earn recognition for the firm, including the Post Register’s 2024 Best Law Firm award—an acknowledgment of the values and client experience he has worked to build.
Originally from Meridian, Idaho, Alan now lives in Idaho Falls with his wife, Camilla. They have ten children between the ages of 9 and 25 and are proud grandparents. Outside of work, Alan enjoys running and spending time supporting his children at their activities, often finding his favorite moments on the sidelines cheering them on.
Drawn to Eastern Idaho for professional opportunities, Alan quickly developed a deep appreciation for the community and the relationships that now shape both his personal and professional life. Today, he continues to lead the firm with a focus on helping families plan ahead, make informed decisions, and feel supported through every stage of the legal process.
