Meet Anna Liu
Anna Liu is a co-founder and partner at LDY Law, PC, where she represents landlords, property owners, and investors in a wide range of real estate and landlord-tenant disputes. With more than 15 years of experience, her practice reaches beyond routine tenancy issues into the broader ownership, litigation, and strategy matters that often carry the highest financial and business stakes for clients. Her work includes commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, tenant buyouts, partition actions, buyer-seller disputes, and related real estate conflicts that require both practical judgment and strong litigation skill.
Before co-founding LDY Law, Anna spent more than a decade as a partner at a San Francisco real estate and landlord-tenant firm. Over the course of her career, she has tried cases, handled appeals, mediated and arbitrated disputes, and negotiated numerous settlements. That range gives her a perspective clients value when a matter does not fit neatly into a single category, particularly when a landlord-tenant issue begins to affect a larger ownership, sale, or investment concern.
Anna is known for combining substantive legal depth with a practical understanding of how real estate disputes affect the people and businesses behind the property. Her clients often need more than an answer to a narrow legal question. They need counsel who can evaluate the full picture, protect leverage, and guide a matter toward a smart resolution without losing sight of the long-term business impact.
She also brings meaningful leadership and teaching experience to her practice. Anna serves on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section and is the former Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Solo and Small Firm Executive Committee. She received the Outstanding Barrister Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2020. She was named to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year from 2017 through 2025 and was selected to Super Lawyers in 2026.
In addition to her client work, Anna has spoken on a wide range of real estate and landlord-tenant topics for organizations including the California Lawyers Association, CEB, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and other professional groups throughout California. At LDY Law, she helps anchor the firm’s broader real estate disputes practice and serves clients who need counsel prepared to handle both the tenancy issue in front of them and the larger conflict that may be developing around it.
