Meet Ben Davis
Ben Davis is a trial lawyer and founding partner of Davis Kelin Law Firm in Albuquerque. A top-20-percent graduate of Baylor Law School, where he clerked for a federal magistrate judge and trained in the school's renowned practice court program, he began his career at a boutique litigation firm defending Fortune 50 companies in high-stakes cases. There he took hundreds of depositions and worked on multiple trials, learning firsthand how corporate defendants think and operate. After a near-death experience, he shifted his focus to representing people and founded Davis Law Firm. Within six years, the firm had won a legal malpractice case that freed a client from prison, been featured on NBC's Dateline, and secured the largest jury verdict ever recorded against a property management company and condominium association.
After years of co-counseling together, Ben and attorney Zackeree Kelin formed Davis Kelin Law Firm, LLC, which in 2023 obtained the largest insurance bad faith jury verdict in New Mexico history. The partners have helped overturn outdated New Mexico insurance precedent, written for the New Mexico Trial Lawyer Journal, and spoken at legal conferences across the state and nationally. Ben has served as a special prosecutor for the Second Judicial District, sits on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar's Professional Liability and Insurance Committee, and is a member of the American Association for Justice Leaders Forum.
