Meet Charlie C. Gustin
Charlie C. Gustin — known as "Charlie" — is the Lead Attorney at Gustin Law Firm, PLLC, based in Houston, Texas, and serving clients throughout the greater Houston area, including Pasadena, Pearland, and League City. He has built his reputation as a smart, tough litigator by securing record-breaking results while giving each client the personal care they deserve.
Charlie filed his first lawsuit as a teenager, earning nationwide press coverage for representing himself in federal court on constitutional issues. He was the first in his family to graduate college after earning an academic scholarship from the University of Texas. In law school, he was selected for the Dean's Scholar Award and excelled in his school's legal advocacy program, winning "Top Speaker" out of 82 peers in the Leroy Jeffers Memorial Moot Court Tournament. He later led a varsity moot court team to the national championship at the American College of Legal Medicine. During and after law school, Charlie served as head law clerk for his legal mentor and trial legend Rusty Hardin.
Over the course of his career, Charlie has won more than $50 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients. Gustin Law Firm is recognized for securing the #1 Top Rideshare/Uber Settlement in the entire state of Texas, the #1 Top Drunk Driver Settlement in Harris County, and a Top 50 Texas Jury Verdict on which Charlie served as co-counsel. In 2025, the firm secured three of Texas' Top 100 Motor Vehicle Accident Settlements. His dedication to his clients has been featured by major news outlets including The Dallas Morning News, The Austin American-Statesman, Yahoo News, and Texas Lawyer.
Beyond his practice, Charlie shares his knowledge with the next generation of professionals. In May 2026, he served as a featured speaker on medical malpractice at the University of Houston Medical School. He is especially proud of a case in which he helped shut down a dangerous Houston trampoline park, and another in which he ensured a hurricane-displaced local family rebuilt their home and their lives after their insurance company wrongfully denied their claims. Charlie lives in Houston with his wife, Dr. Jamie Everett.
