Meet Fisnik Pllana
Fisnik Pllana is an Edmonton litigation lawyer and a partner at Forum Law LLP, where he also sits on the firm's management committee. His practice is built around commercial disputes — the kind that threaten a business's cash flow, its ownership structure, or its ability to finish a project.
Fisnik earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Alberta in 2013, completed his J.D. in 2016, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2018. He began his career at an Edmonton litigation practice before joining Forum Law, where he rose to partner.
His work centres on corporate and commercial litigation, construction litigation and builders' liens, shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, and insurance denials. He has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and resolves matters through litigation, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution — whichever route gets the client to a result faster and for less.
That preference for pragmatism over posturing is the core of how he runs a file. Fisnik takes a proactive approach: he identifies the pressure points early, moves before the other side does, and keeps the client informed about what each option is likely to cost and what it is likely to deliver. Commercial clients tend to value that, because a litigation budget is a business decision as much as a legal one.
