Meet Jacob Oresky

Jacob Oresky is the founder and managing attorney of Oresky & Associates, PLLC, with offices in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and Long Island. For more than 30 years, he has represented New York City residents injured in serious accidents, including construction accidents, car and truck accidents, slips and falls, workplace accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death, and he and his firm have recovered over $500 million in verdicts and settlements for clients.

Jacob founded the firm with the mission of combining strong representation with warm, friendly service. He focuses his own time on preparing and trying significant construction accident cases, and he works with a team of investigators, accident reconstruction experts, and engineers to make sure every case is fully prepared before he or one of the firm's trial attorneys steps into the courtroom.

The New York Law Journal listed Jacob and his firm from 2010 through 2017 for some of the largest settlements and verdicts in New York State, and he has been included in New York Magazine's New York's Leading Personal Injury Lawyers.

Jacob earned his B.S. in Management from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1983 and his J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1986. He was admitted to practice in New York State in 1987 and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1996. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and its Labor Law Task Force, the New York State Bar Association, the Bronx County Bar Association, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
