Meet Jeffrey A. Preszler
Jeffrey A. Preszler is a Toronto personal injury lawyer and a partner at Preszler Injury Lawyers, a firm that has recovered over $1.5 billion for more than 20,000 clients across Canada since its inception. He practises exclusively on the plaintiff side and is licensed in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia — with additional bar memberships in Nova Scotia.
Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 and his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2006. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2007.
His practice focuses on complex motor vehicle accident claims, catastrophic accident benefit claims, slip and trip and fall claims, and institutional sexual abuse claims. In D.S. v. Quesnelle, Jeffrey helped secure a judgment exceeding $4 million, including an award of over $400,000 for pain and suffering for a seriously impaired victim.
He is known for a creative and pragmatic approach, and other firms in Ontario regularly retain him as counsel on their own files — a form of endorsement clients rarely see but that says a good deal about how his peers rate him.
Communication is where he puts the most deliberate effort. Jeffrey has refined his ability to boil complex legal and insurance concepts into terms clients can actually act on, so that people stay informed about their claim through what is often years of litigation.
He is also invested in the next generation of the plaintiff bar. Jeffrey has lectured for the Ontario Bar Association and mentors both junior personal injury lawyers and articling students at the firm. He appears regularly on the Global News Morning Show and AM640 as a commentator on personal injury and insurance law, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers.
Jeffrey is a member of the Law Societies of Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Nova Scotia, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.
Preszler Injury Lawyers offers free consultations and works on contingency.
