Jimmy F. Rodgers, Jr.

For more than three decades, Jimmy F. Rodgers Jr. has built a reputation as a trusted advocate for workers, families and labor organizations throughout Chattanooga and beyond. His career has included complex products-liability litigation, significant appellate matters and union representation, but the common thread has always been the people at the center of those cases.

Rodgers is a Chattanooga native and graduate of Tyner High School. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he studied economics and political science, graduated with high honors and went on to earn his law degree in 1994. He returned home to begin practicing and has remained deeply connected to the city ever since.

Service to Chattanooga

Rodgers’ commitment to Chattanooga extends beyond his law practice.

He has served with organizations connected to brain injury advocacy, the University of Tennessee alumni community and employment protections for members of the National Guard and Reserve. He has also spent more than a decade on Chattanooga’s Industrial Development Board, including service as secretary, vice chair and chair.

Within the legal profession, Rodgers has served on the Chattanooga Bar Association’s board of directors and has been active in the Justices Ray L. Brock Jr.–Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court. In 2025, he became president of the invitation-only organization, which brings together judges and attorneys for education, mentoring and the advancement of professionalism.

These roles reflect more than community involvement. They show the confidence others have placed in Rodgers to take on responsibility, contribute over time and help guide organizations that matter to Chattanooga’s civic and professional life.

Rodgers has received repeated recognition from Mid-South Super Lawyers and has been named among the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Those honors reflect an accomplished career, but they do not fully explain why clients and colleagues have continued to rely on him.
