Meet Jonathan P. Hayes
Jonathan P. Hayes is the Managing Partner of Goldstein Hayes Trial Lawyers, an Atlanta-based trial firm representing individuals and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases throughout Georgia and in significant matters nationwide. His practice is particularly focused on commercial trucking and transportation litigation, along with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, serious motor vehicle collisions, product liability, medical malpractice, construction and industrial accidents, and other complex cases involving life-changing injuries.
Hayes has built a substantial record in commercial motor vehicle litigation. He obtained a record-setting $150 million wrongful death verdict arising from a trucking collision and has helped recover more than $400 million in commercial motor vehicle cases. Goldstein Hayes Trial Lawyers is approaching $1 billion in total verdicts and settlements across its practice.
His approach is deliberately different from the high-volume model common in personal injury law. Goldstein Hayes maintains a selective caseload so its lawyers can devote significant time and financial resources to each matter. Clients work directly with the attorneys and experienced litigation paralegals handling their cases rather than being routed primarily through non-lawyer case managers.
Hayes prepares complex cases with trial in mind from the beginning. Depending on the issues involved, that work may include accident reconstruction, trucking-industry and safety analysis, engineering, medical causation, life-care planning, vocational assessment, and economic damages analysis. The firm routinely makes substantial investments in experts, investigation, technology, and trial preparation when necessary to fully develop a client's case.
An Atlanta native, Hayes earned his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law. His professional recognition includes The Best Lawyers in America®, Georgia Super Lawyers, an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, The National Trial Lawyers, and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Hayes represents clients from Atlanta and communities throughout Georgia in cases involving catastrophic injury, commercial trucking collisions, wrongful death, brain and spinal cord injuries, serious car accidents, defective products, and other complex negligence claims. His practice is built around a straightforward principle: accept fewer cases, invest deeply in them, and prepare each one to withstand the demands of trial.
