Joseph J. Reiter

Joseph Reiter's leadership, reputation in the legal community, and numerous professional accomplishments attest to his incredibly successful legal career.

Joe's survival gave him a reputation as a fighter. He was raised in a difficult neighborhood with multiple gangs in a tenement on Chicago's near north side. He was taught early on that the only way out of poverty was via education and hard work. Reiter served twice in the U.S. Army. He was returned home for the first time due to his age. He later served in Korea with the Seventh Infantry Division.

Joe was a Dana Scholar at Stetson University, where he earned his Juris Doctor after attending the University of Illinois. He received a job offer on the eve of graduation in 1968 at a West Palm Beach law firm, where he and Lake Lytal, Jr. worked together until 1985 when they opened their own office.
