Meet Justin Bell
Justin Bell earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Kennesaw State University before going on to receive his Juris Doctor from the Duncan School of Law. While in law school, he was recognized with the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Interviewing, Consulting, and Negotiation, an honor that reflects his strength in client advocacy and strategic communication.
Despite balancing a full-time work schedule, Mr. Bell distinguished himself academically and professionally, even becoming an internationally published legal author in the field of human rights. He also gained valuable courtroom insight while interning for the Honorable Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood, where he contributed to research on complex cases at both the trial and appellate levels, including matters before the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Professional Background & Strategic Advantage
Before entering the legal field, Mr. Bell worked as a financial consultant, managing multi-million dollar investment portfolios. In that role, he developed a sharp ability to analyze risk, communicate persuasively, and guide high-stakes decision-making skills that now translate directly into his criminal defense practice.
His background in sales and client relations also sets him apart in the courtroom. Mr. Bell understands how to connect with juries, build credibility, and present compelling narratives, critical advantages when a client’s future is on the line.
Construction & Business Experience
In 2006, Mr. Bell became a licensed general contractor and built custom homes throughout East Tennessee. He continues to maintain ties to the construction industry and represents clients in related legal matters, including contract disputes and lien enforcement. This entrepreneurial experience gives him a practical, real-world perspective that many attorneys lack.
A Personal Understanding of the System
Mr. Bell’s commitment to criminal defense is deeply personal. In 2007, he was wrongfully accused of a crime and experienced firsthand the stress, financial burden, and injustice that can result when constitutional rights are violated. The charges were ultimately dismissed, but the experience shaped his mission: to stand up for individuals facing the power of the criminal justice system and ensure their rights are protected.
Criminal Defense Focus
Today, Mr. Bell focuses primarily on defending individuals accused of crimes throughout Tennessee. He has represented thousands of clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including:
- DUI and impaired driving offenses
- Drug and narcotics charges
- Violent crimes, including assault and homicide
- Gun and weapons charges
- Theft, robbery, and burglary
- White-collar offenses
His approach is aggressive, strategic, and client-centered, focused on achieving the best possible outcome in every case.
Advanced DUI Defense Training
Mr. Bell has completed the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.) training, specialized instruction typically reserved for law enforcement officers. This gives him a unique edge when challenging DUI arrests and cross-examining officers in court.
Client-First Philosophy
As both a business owner and attorney, Mr. Bell understands the value of hard work and financial responsibility. He is committed to delivering high-level legal representation at a fair and reasonable cost. Having started his career representing indigent clients, he remains dedicated to ensuring that quality defense is accessible, not just to those who can afford premium legal fees.
Mr. Bell believes that every person deserves a strong defense and a fair chance, regardless of their financial situation. His mission is simple: protect his clients, defend their rights, and fight relentlessly for their future.
