Meet Kurt Zaner
Kurt Zaner is a Denver personal injury trial attorney and founding partner of Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, located at 1610 Wynkoop Street, Suite 120, Denver, Colorado 80202. He represents individuals and families in serious injury and wrongful death litigation, including cases involving motor vehicle collisions, commercial trucking accidents, dangerous premises, workplace incidents, and catastrophic injuries.
Mr. Zaner has established a record of substantial jury verdicts in complex personal injury cases. His results include a $30 million federal verdict for a worker injured in an oil and gas explosion, a $16 million verdict involving an electrical accident that caused Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a $10.6 million recovery including interest following an electrocution trial, and a $4.3 million verdict arising from a trucking collision. These cases reflect his experience presenting complicated medical, liability, and damages evidence before juries.
His litigation work also includes cases involving impaired and distracted drivers. In 2017, he and his legal partner obtained significant verdicts involving an oil company driver and a fatal drunk-driving collision. Mr. Zaner subsequently defended the drunk-driving verdict before the Colorado Supreme Court and has contributed to Colorado case law concerning punitive damages in cases involving intoxicated drivers.
Mr. Zaner graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he ranked in the top seven percent of his class, served on the University of Florida Law Review, and received the ABA and American Law Institute Best Graduate Award. He previously earned a bachelor's degree in Roman History from the University of Florida and served as a federal judicial law clerk to U.S. District Judge Kenneth A. Marra in the Southern District of Florida.
