Meet Laura Ramos James
Attorney Laura Ramos James is a highly respected Texas trial lawyer and the founder of Ramos James Law, PLLC, a firm she established in 2018 to advocate fiercely for injured individuals and families. Named a “Changemaker” by Austin Woman Magazine for 2025, Laura has also received the 2023 Woman’s Way Award and the Advocacy and Activism Award from the Latina Foundation—recognitions that reflect both her legal excellence and community impact.
As a personal injury survivor herself, Laura’s path to the courtroom was shaped by firsthand experience. She understands the fear, uncertainty, and power imbalance victims often face, and she built her practice to be a strong, unwavering voice for those who feel unheard. After graduating with honors from Baylor Law School, she committed her career to complex, high-stakes litigation.
With more than a decade of experience, Laura has successfully represented clients in hundreds of cases involving auto and trucking accidents, drunk and distracted driving, commercial vehicle crashes, workplace injuries, product liability, healthcare liability claims, sexual assault, construction accidents and defects, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death.
