For Lisa, elder law and long-term care planning are more than just areas of legal practice—they're deeply personal.

When several members of her own family needed assistance navigating long-term care, Lisa stepped in to help. Through that experience, she gained firsthand insight into the challenges caregivers face, from coordinating care to securing Veterans Affairs (VA) and Medicaid benefits to help cover nursing home costs. She understands the emotional, financial, and legal complexities families encounter during these difficult times and knows how valuable trusted legal guidance can be.

That personal perspective continues to shape her practice today. Lisa approaches every client with compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping families confidently plan for the future.

In addition to her planning practice, Lisa has extensive courtroom and appellate experience. She has represented clients through numerous bench and jury trials, court hearings, and appeals before the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal.

Professional Qualifications

Lisa is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the United States District Courts of Indiana. She is accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to assist veterans and their families with VA benefits and is also a registered civil law mediator.

She is an active member of the Elder Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association, where she serves as Chair of the Veterans' Affairs Committee. Lisa is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and ElderCounsel.

Giving Back to the Community

Lisa believes caring for seniors extends beyond the courtroom. Recognizing the impact that hunger and poor nutrition can have on older adults, she has been actively involved with Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana for many years and currently serves as Chair of its Board of Directors.

Outside the Office

When she's not helping clients, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their daughters, Emery and Anaya. She also enjoys gardening, kayaking, and reading both historical fiction and nonfiction.
