Meet Matthew Knez
Matthew J. Knez is a dedicated attorney at Knez Law Group, LLP, where he represents individuals, families, and business clients across California. With experience spanning family law, business litigation, and serious personal injury matters, Matthew combines analytical precision with compassionate advocacy to achieve favorable results for his clients.
Matthew’s practice encompasses the full breadth of family law, including high-conflict and contested divorce, child custody and support disputes, spousal support, property division, and related domestic matters. He understands the emotional, financial, and legal complexities inherent in family law conflicts, and he guides clients through each stage with strategic planning and clear communication tailored to their individual goals.
In the area of business law, Matthew advises and represents clients in commercial disputes, contract negotiation and enforcement, business formation and dissolution, and litigation involving partnerships and shareholder conflicts. His litigation experience allows him to evaluate business risks from multiple perspectives and to advocate effectively — whether negotiating settlements or presenting arguments in court.
Matthew and the attorneys at Knez Law Group LLP also have experience handling personal injury cases, with a strong focus on motor vehicle collisions. He represents clients injured in car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, pursuing full compensation for injuries, property loss, and other damages stemming from negligent or reckless conduct. His advocacy includes navigating complex liability issues, negotiating with insurance companies, and, when necessary, advancing claims through trial to secure just outcomes for those affected by serious accidents.
Before joining the firm as an attorney in 2015, Matthew worked as a paralegal while completing his Juris Doctor at the University of La Verne College of Law, where he earned recognition for academic excellence and contributed to the Law Review with a published article on child custody move-away cases. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Redlands.
Matthew is admitted to practice in the State Bar of California and is an active member of the Riverside County Bar Association, San Bernardino County Bar Association, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He is committed to thoughtful, aggressive legal representation and to helping clients navigate their legal challenges with confidence and clarity.
