Meet Michael T. Gibson
Michael T. Gibson tried a jury case almost before the ink on his bar card dried. Days after his 2006 admission to the Florida Bar, he took a nursing home negligence case to trial for an 87-year-old client and won a $4 million verdict. Two decades later, his Orlando firm has recovered more than $200 million for injured Floridians, most of it in auto accident and insurance litigation.
Born and raised in Clearwater, he studied at the University of Central Florida and earned his law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law, graduating in the top three percent of his class and serving on Law Review. As a certified legal intern with the Orange County Public Defender's Office, he was trying felony cases to juries before he was a lawyer at all.
He has also weighed in publicly on the law he practices, authoring a 2012 op-ed on Florida PIP reform for the West Orange Times & Observer and testifying before the Florida House Health & Human Services Committee on auto insurance. He holds Martindale-Hubbell's AV Preeminent rating and its 2026 Gold Client Champion award, four Avvo Client's Choice awards (2012, 2014, 2019, 2021), and Super Lawyers Rising Stars selections from 2013 through 2016, and he is admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His office serves clients in English and Spanish. He lives in Orlando with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
