Meet Mike Arnold
Mike Arnold is an Oregon trial attorney and entrepreneur known for taking on cases conventional wisdom calls long shots, particularly those that involve speaking truth to power. He handles complex criminal and civil litigation involving high stakes, multiple parties, and expert witnesses, and served as managing partner and chief trial lawyer of Arnold Law for 10 years before founding the Law Office of Mike Arnold in 2017. His results include a 45-minute not guilty verdict in a first-degree manslaughter trial, and in 2024 alone he won three jury trials in three counties, with juries deliberating just 14, 24, and 39 minutes.
Mike drew national attention as Ammon Bundy’s attorney during the 2016 Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupation, when his public plea for the remaining occupiers to “please stand down” helped bring the standoff to a peaceful end. His work has been featured on CBS’s 48 Hours and in The Atlantic, and he is the author of Finishing Machine, a true crime account of defending a former Marine sniper and UFC fighter that was later banned by the Oregon prison system.
His philosophy is simple: know the facts and law better than anyone else in the room, and prepare every case as if it is going to trial. Recognitions include the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, Eugene Weekly’s “Best DUI Lawyer,” and a Martindale-Hubbell “Distinguished” rating. A Missouri native, Mike graduated summa cum laude from Truman State University and earned his law degree from the University of Oregon as a Wayne Morse Fellow.
